Fall of 2009

This year I had planned sometime ago to Skydive. Decided not to tell any one not even Warwick as I did not want anyone discouraging me in any way, and thought I will tell them all after Aug 10th thats when I was planning to dive, but it rained so had to postponed it to until the weather was suitable. I had mentioned it to Jeanette over the phone in England, little I knew that she will be right there watching me dive. So after my surprise BDay Jeanette and I headed off with Shirley to Abbotsford. Here are some pictures.

My brand new BBQ set that Ashish & Hannah, Vinay & Marysa and Uman gave me for my BD. As you can see my sister Diana and Barbara are doing the opening by cooking Chicken on skewers and BBQ Salmon which was a hit.

Telling the world how proud I was to have parents like these 2 people and am very fortunate to be born in the family I am born in. I love my parents.

"Surprised I was!!!"

This year 2009, I turned 60 Warwick took me to Nanaimo Is. for a trip on a float plane that carried only 5 passengers. We stayed in a b&b place, the next day we went to different Farmers markets which I love. On the same day we returned on a Float plane again. A tiny little plane flight was an experience on its own.

On our way back the plan was to go out for dinner. Well when we got home to my surprise I saw my whole front yard full of my friends, families and neighbours all gathered to gather to surprise me for my birthday celebration. I was over whelmed. To top it off my sister-in-law was standing amongst the crowds I could not believe my eyes she had travelled all the way from UK to be here for my BDay. What more did I want. My Birthday was complete. After all the hugs and greetings we went to the back yard for a BBQ. The back yard was all decorated with balloons and streamers. Here are some pictures.

Taiwan

In Taiwan - 101 story building, it takes 30sec. to get to the top and 27sec. to get down.

We had a fun day with my friends.

On the last day in Taiwan we met up with some of the ESL students who stayed with us in Canada.

We spent the whole day together. The took me around Taiwan city. Joy, Levi, Tom, Neilson, May who took the pic. and me.

We had to climb quite a flight of staires to get to this very interesting shopping area where mostly tourists go. This is also a residential.

This supposed to be the queen's crown. Over the years the neck seem to be getting smaller, and soon it will break. The tourist go to this sight just to see this crown. Very unique, a sight to see.

We both felt at home in their home.

Levi's antie, is a wonderful lady, continuously talk to me in Chinese and I just nodded my head as if I understood her. We laughed a lot with her.
