After our Alaskan Trip

Bike riding in the Woods.
Lunch at Earls, Picnic in Fort Langley and walking along White Rock.

Jeanette and Ross spent 3 extra days & Pat and Gavin spent 6 extra days with us in Vancouver before returning back home to UK and Aust. We throughly enjoyed having them here, we will have to do this again.

Mexico Trip

May 2008 Warwick and I made a trip to Mexico to attend a wedding for one of our studen's who stayed with us for 7 months while he was learning english in Canada. What an experience, we were fortunate enough to spend time with his family in their home. Reminded me a lot of the lifestyle in Fiji. They are very down to earth people, they would take their shirt of their back for you once they know you well. I felt right at home with them even though I could not understand them well. They welcomed us with a Marachie Band who played music for us in the front of their home. They invited the whole neighbournood that night.

The 3 amegos happy to be together.

For Warwick's 60th birthday Warwick's sisiters and I decided to take Warwick on a Alaskan trip, the plan started a year ago. On the 5th Sept. Jeanette & Ross and Pat & Gavin arrived from Aust. and UK. On the 6th Sept. our cruise started from Van. Canada. It was a most memorable and an exciting trip. Being together was the most wonderful thing Every day we had something new happening on the ship. The ship was a 5* floating hotel called Serenade of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. We docked at 3 different places. Icy Strait, Juneau and Skagway. The weather was rainy and cool, but it did not stop us doing the things we wanted to do. Families truely is a wonderful gift we have.
We also had some co-workers joined us on the trip which made it more fun. There were about 15 of us in total.

Warwick's Surgery

Aug. 18 2008 all ready to be sedated for the surgery.
4 days after the surgery, on a recovery mode.
View from his hospital window.

Prior to our Alaska trip Warwick had to go in for a major surgery. He had a portion of his small intestine removed which was obstructing his digestive system. He was losing weight and not eating very much. He is much better now and is recovering well.
